The 3 Premises of Alignment

Throughout the years the Merill Rural Network established its own principles based on the needs of the rural communities and the opportunities (and challenges) presented in the islands. By making sure that these simple premises are met, collaborations stand a better chance to prosper and flourish into long-term sustainable partnerships.

In order to form part of the Merill Rural Network, any member must:

  1. operate a functioning bona fide farm or workshop
  2. promote 100% local wherever possible
  3. be committed to provide value-added

The prospective member must prove that her/his enterprise adheres to all of the 3 premises of alignment.
