The 4 Premises of Alignment

The Merill Rural Network established its own principles based on the needs of the rural communities and the opportunities (and challenges) presented in the Maltese Islands. By making sure that these simple premises are met, collaborations stand a better chance to prosper and flourish into long-term sustainable partnerships. In order to be considered for membership within the Merill Rural Network, any potential member must:

  1. Operate a functioning bona fide farm or workshop
  2. Promote 100% local wherever possible
  3. Be committed to provide value-added
  4. Show a propensity to long-term collaboration

The prospective member must prove that her/his enterprise adheres to all of the 4 premises of alignment.
